NCDRC has been established to promote health-related research, particularly in NCDs and comprehensive healthcare. By encouraging the undergraduate and graduate researchers at, NCDRC makes attempts to respond to the needs of society. In view of the above-mentioned facts, NCDRC was established to pursue the following missions:

1. Conducting various science-based research for prevention of NCDs

2. Identifying and control the primary risk factors as much as possible

3. Moving in line with the goals of the Health System Transformation Program to reach comprehensive conclusions for the first, second, and third level-prevention of NCDs

4. Reducing the organizational costs and implementing the effective public health measures

NCDRC intends to be the top research center in the region and the east of the country in the field of research leading to the production of NCDs-related evidence and policies of the country's health system. In this regard, NCDRC has prepared the proper conditions for professors and students to conduct their studies to prevent and treat chronic and common diseases. By employing specialists, it’s expected that the levels of society health get improved and providing sufficient facilities can help spread the science and technology. Furthermore, by connecting to the prestigious scientific centers of the country and region in northeastern Iran, the center intends to become the reputable and origin of basic and applied research in the field of control of infectious diseases, cancer and genetic diseases, endemic diseases, etc. Also, the NCDRC will be upgraded to one of the top centers in the province in the coming years with the continuous improvement of scientific activities, providing the required physical space, managing the financial and human resources, and the approval of the relevant ministry.
